WEEKLY TROPICAL CYCLONE SUMMARY #191 MARCH 26 - APRIL 2, 1995

North Atlantic Basin: No tropical cyclones.

Eastern North Pacific Basin (E of 140 Deg. W): No tropical cyclones.

Central North Pacific Basin (180 Deg. W to 140 Deg. W): No tropical cyclones.

Western North Pacific Basin (W of 180 Deg. W): No tropical cyclones.

North Indian Ocean Basin: No tropical cyclones.

South Indian Ocean Basin (W of 135 Deg. E):

Tropical Cyclone Marlene (TC-19S): Tropical Cyclone Marlene formed near
11S 78E on 30 March. Initially moving west-southwest, the system continued
this track on 31 March as it reached tropical storm intensity. Marlene turned
west on 1 April as it reached hurricane strength, then it turned south on 2
April. At the end of the summary period, Marlene was moving slowly south
through open ocean with 85 kt winds.

South Pacific Ocean Basin (E of 135 Deg. E): No tropical cyclones.
