WEEKLY TROPICAL CYCLONE SUMMARY #44: MAY 31 - JUNE 7, 1992

North Atlantic Basin: No tropical cyclones.

Eastern North Pacific Basin (E of 140 Deg. W):

Tropical Storm Agatha: Tropical Depression 1E formed near 11N 103W on
1 June. Moving generally northward, the system intensified into Tropical
Storm Agatha on 2 June. Agatha reached a peak intensity of 60 kt later
that day, and it maintained this intensity on 3 June as it turned slowly
northwestward. Rapid weakening set in on 4 June as Agatha drifted slowly
westward, and the system weakened to a depression later that day. Agatha
continued its slow westward drift through 5 June, and it dissipated near
18N 107W on 6 June. Although some outer bands reached the Mexican coast,
there are no reports of damage or casualties at this time.

Central North Pacific Basin (180 Deg. W to 140 Deg. W): No tropical cyclones.

Western North Pacific Basin (W of 180 Deg. W): No tropical cyclones.

North Indian Ocean Basin:

Tropical Cyclone 02A: TC-02A formed in the Arabian Sea near 10N 67E
on 5 June. Moving generally west-northwest, the system increased to a peak
intensity of 35 kt on 6 June. At the end of the summary period, TC-02A
was continuing to move west-northwest through the Arabian Sea with 35 kt
winds.

South Indian Ocean Basin (W of 135 Deg. E): No tropical cyclones.

South Pacific Ocean Basin (E of 135 Deg. E): No tropical cyclones.
