Hello,

I would appreciate some references (papers or books) for the following problem.

I am trying to calculate the forces that result when two elliptical bodies
(2 and 3 D) pass each other at high speeds (subsonic though). I am interested
in the forces, airfoils and streamlines...

Any references will be greatly appreciated!!! Even fairly elementary textbook
treatments!!!

Thanks in advance!!!

Abe

Aerodynamics by L. J. Clancy has some simple formulas for forces on
cylinders, ellipses and ellipsoids. Incompressible Aerodynamics by
Thwaites is another source. There are a series of papers on the
numerical study of the flow aroung ellipses by Donald Greenspan and
R. Kannan and others. I am not sure I can provide exact references.
