By the way Fluffy,

Are you aware of Choptuik's research regarding intrinsic
discrete self-similarity in gravitational collapse and
critical phenomena?

Does the compatibility of General Relativity and
discrete self-similarity make any impression on you?

Is it really so weird to extend Choptuik's work to
the ultimate critical phenomenon: a supernova-like
event in our local Metagalaxy?

If you think such a scenario is dubious,
you must really hate the splendid science fiction
of "The Universe" suddenly popping ex nihilo into
existence, like a bimbo popping out of a cake!

Brilliant ideas are defined as your ideas,
and stupid ideas are defined as not your ideas,
sort of like intellectual immunology [self/non-self].
Is that how it works in science these days?
