My one stop shopping for all things fractal and chaos leads me to the
book "Chaos and Fractals : New Frontiers of Science", by Peitgen,
Saupe and Jergens. Its a little pricey, but it contains -everything-
on chaotic dynamical systems and fractals that a beginner would need.
The book evolved out of lectures and classes on fractals that Peitgen
has given over the years, so the material is well written.
