SYSTEMS ENGINEERS

The Arlington, VA branch of M. ROSENBLATT & SON, INC., Naval
Architects and Marine Engineers, has openings for Auxiliary
Systems Engineers to perform a variety of tasks in design of
systems for U.S. Navy surface combatants, auxiliary ships and
submarines, and for ships operated by the U.S. Coast Guard and
Military Sealift Command. Recent graduates as well as candidates
with up to three years experience in marine engineering or
related disciplines are invited to apply.


Duties

Design systems for shipboard propulsion and electric
power plants, auxiliary services, combat systems,
hotel services, fire protection, and pollution
control.

Perform calculations for fluid systems using manual
and computer methods, including flow network
analysis.

Conduct studies on design topics such as piping
material selection, system survivability, commercial
practices, and alternative concepts.

Investigate deficiencies in existing shipboard
systems, conduct shipchecks, and develop work
packages for system improvements.

Develop specifications, guidance drawings, and
design reports.

Develop and apply CAE software that links CAD
databases with analysis programs


Qualifications

B.S. degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering or
related engineering discipline
0 - 3 years applicable experience
PC competence
