How does economy change with zero interest? 33 years ago!

JCT: April 13, 33 years ago today, I started my Abolish
Interest Rates Project.

I had registered for the 1979 federal general election in
the Ottawa West on Mar 3. After 40 days of campaign and
questions on the economy, I had written in my journal:
"How does an economy change with a zero interest rate?"

33 years later, I see thousands upon thousands of tiny
zero-interest time-based economies in operation. I've seen
several large ones (Argentina 1980s & 2000s, Russia 1990s)
and innovative ones (MPESA cell-phone minute trading in
Africa. I've also seen inferior models presented to take
attention away from LETS timebanking (cash-based Berkshares
or nothing-based Bitcoin) but timetrading is now winning
its market in collapsed Greece and any other countries that
collapse where they have computers and a few brains.

Plus, once the Argentine Solution goes viral, a time-based
government bond currency acceptable in the local LETS and
the international UNILETS, banking will be done on Earth as
in Heaven. "Lend unto others as you would have them lend
unto you."

Once John The Banking Systems Engineer Turmel goes viral,
game over for the banksters.
