Working with colleagues from NASA, a Florida State University
researcher has published a paper that calls into question three
decades of conventional wisdom regarding some of the physical
processes that helped shape the Earth as we know it today.

This model is helpful, however the more obvious accretion of matter is
easier to explain with uniformatarinism. The initial or early
accretion of matter to form the early Earth and the ontogeny of the
planet relies on gradual accretion. I have studied the distribution
of PGM for some time and tend to lean toward extensional tectonics and
major plate separation to provided enplacement of PGM deposits..
