Need help with Compact Fluorescent
for California Home

Our vanity bathroom has a 26W Nutone Compact Fluorescent 2 pin
light / with fan - ceiling light.
( the light appears to be about 9 inches long)

It is so dark with this light in the bathroom. I am desperately
trying to get a brighter light...I searched all over the internet.
Went to Home Depot etc. No luck.
Not sure why they do not make brighter lights for 2 pin Compact
Fluorescents.
Is there any law that forbids this ?

Any suggestions..where I can a brighter 2 pin Compact Fluorescent
light.

FYI....I am not handy.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks
Anna

A 26 W fluorescent is very bright, the equivalent of more than a 100
watt incandescent. Maybe the bulb is no good

As one of the other respondents mentioned, a 26W compact fluorescent is
equivalent to a 95-100W incandescent lamp, and should be quite adequate for
a typical bathroom, unless you have very dark wallpaper or paneling. If it
is not very bright, it may be going out. You cannot replace the 26 watt
lamp with a larger compact fluorescent lamp, the socket and ballast are both
made specifically for that size lamp. If you wanted to go up to a 32 watt
or 42 watt lamp, you would have to replace both.
