Wetback wanted for Valero gas station robbery

SAN DIEGO -- A man with a gun demanded cash from a clerk at a Valero gas
station in San Diego on Saturday and ran away when he got his loot,
police reported.
The robbery was reported at 8:45 p.m., at the Valero gas station in the
6300 block of University Avenue, said San Diego Officer David Stafford.
The Hispanic man, about 25 to 30 years old, "displayed the weapon and
demanded cash from the clerk," Stafford said. When the clerk complied,
the suspect fled.
"He was last seen on foot, running southbound from the scene," said
Stafford.
The suspect was described as being 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 150 to
200 pounds and wearing a gray sweater and dark gym shorts, he said.
No one was injured in the robbery and detectives are investigating,
Stafford said.
