This would also get semi rigs from 6.5 mpg to 8 mpg -- maybe $10,000/
year for some truckers..

Just before getting on the freeway the trucker pulls over and slides
triangular panels from the sides and top of the semi van back until
they form a cone.

To work they would need to be almost as long as the trailer which is
why it cannot be deployed around town.

Just after getting off the freeway the trucker pulls over again -- DOT
will need to cooperate with some "tail check areas" -- and furls his
fairing which also makes the doors accessable
