Michael Rickaby
Sheboygan, Wis. (WHBL) - A Sheboygan man charged in an attempted child
abduction in the city of Sheboygan last December is pleading not guilty
by reason of insanity. 52 year old Michael Rickaby, a convicted sex
offender, appeared yesterday before Judge Gary Langhoff and entered the
plea. Langhoff also denied a motion for a change of venue in the case
and Rickaby remains in the county jail pending further proceedings.
Rickaby allegedly attempted to force a 15 year old Sheboygan girl into
his car last December as she walked to school. When he was arrested 3
days later he allegedly told officers he had intended to kidnap the girl
and have sexual contact with her.
