Help:SONY Walkman Can't Open It!

My daughter's SONY Walkman (model WM-2051) stopped working. I think that
it's just the belt but I can't figure out how to open the case. I could
use a hammer but that would produce a slight problem (on both the Walkman
and in my relationship with my daughter).

HELP!!

If it is similar to the one I am looking at, I have no idea - and I have opened
enough of them. This (WMAF23) has no screws and no obvious locations
to get at the snaps and I have not yet had a pressing need to take more
drastic measures.

I managed to get hold of the service manual for a Sony Walkman that I had
to repair recently. It, too, was difficult to open. There was a catch in
a tiny recess inside the battery compartment. Try probing with
a screwdriver - otherwise see if you can get the service manual - the Sony
ones are quite comprehensive in my opinion.
