In the past I do think they tried to remove the service, I started to
have blank out times and very bad performance. I complained about it and
it magically corrected itself but I can tell you that they were trying
hard to encourage me to go with some one else for the service.
Lately my USENET connects have been random and I only get 2 connects.
This morning I called some one I know that has worked for charter for
years at this location and he told me things that clears up my recent
USENET service issues. Basically they just kept it at a bare minimum in
hopes that eventually users would start paying for it, else where. I
wouldn't be surprised if the next tactic they use is to offer a USENET
service that you have to pay extra for.
If I stay with charter, I should not be surprised those active videos
just stop streaming after a few mins (randomly).
What next? Will the E-Mail service also be a thing of the past? I
wouldn't put it past them.. I am waiting for them
to E-mail notifying me that my webpage no longer exist or I can only
have one E-mail account, not the extras I have for my wife's use.
On top of all that, they lie like hell about the BPS speeds but they
have no problems charging me for their lie.
My friend didn't give me any fuzzy warm feelings about charter's future
plains. He said it has to do with recent changes, what ever that means,
he didn't elaborate.
