Here is a link to an article about a PC guru in San Fransisco who held
his wife during an argument.. she got a bruise.. and now his life is
ruined... hoisted on his own petard... I don't know whether to laugh
or not.

It's San Fransicko... what can you say?

My wife used to take teenage dance troups to SF for dance competitions. The
dance instructors association has now listed downtown SF as a slum and cut SF
out of the tour.

But I fear the nanny state is going to descend on us all. Then we'll have to
revert to the strict rules of Darwin to fix it :-)

The nanny state is coming to help all the boomers that will not be able
to take care of themselves.

Within 20 years, there will be more walking dead than people to take
care of them.

JT will be out the door before all that happens.

So the rest of us will see this come to pass.

They usually only ban price cuts on the booze. Happy hours with low price or
free appetizers are usually still OK. That's the way I've seen happy hour
bans implemented in most places.
