None of the newsgroups in the sci.electronics.* hierarchy are
intended for buying and selling. An obvious giveaway is that none
of them have "forsale" or "marketplace" in their name.

See Mark Zenier's guide to the hierarchy, at
ftp://ftp.eskimo.com/u/m/mzenier/seguide9706.txt

When sci.electronics was split back in '95, an associated newsgroup
was created for buying and selling:
misc.industry.electronics.marketplace

So, Google for it, or post a question and let people (including mfrs)
respond. I ***DON'T*** want s.e.d to become a billboard for weekly spam
from everyone with a product that someone might want. You want PCB
fabrication, someone else wants toggle switches, someone else wants RFID
modules or SMPS controllers or teflon tubing... there's a good reason why we
discourage commercial posting here.

Consider that there are approximately twelve hundred PCB factories in
China alone.

Then think what it would be like with every one of them spamming the
group two or three times a day.
