Hi.

Does anyone know some simple and cheap microcontroller with two
RS232-interfaces and perhaps also a CAN-interface?
Often you can get a cheap mc but have to pay a lot for the development
tools which are of course needed to write software for the
microcontroller.

Has anyone an idea for a microcontroller with also free or cheaply
available dev kit?

Thank you for your answers in advance,
Susanne Fischer

You haven't checked the Microchip and Atmel websites? I know that
Microchip has a PIC with CAN. They also have a small CAN controller
that works on SPI, so you can add it to many microprocessors.

fujitsu do several flash/can micros, mb90540 for example. Softune development
system is usually free, they also do some starter kits with most of the code
allready written for you.
