Algebra Text?
|
| |
I'm fighting the school system with, now, the 5th granddaughter, 6th
Grade.
Last week they were peddling how to cut corners out of a piece of
cardboard to form a box with the maximum volume, with no established
skill set.... "guess" your way to the solution :-(
This week they suddenly jumped to Algebra, simultaneous equations,... more »

Hey, that's wierd.
|
| |
I'm seeing something really interesting with the coil I built. I
wired up a buck converter circuit yesterday and tried it out, but just
with a switch and resistor tied to the gate of an IRF-1404PbF, which
lists a Total Gate Charge of 131nC, which I take to mean nano-
coulombs. When the circuit is 'rested', power applied does what is... more »

Open source AVR simulator.
|

Is there such a thing as open source AVR simulator anywhere?
Some kind of development environment that I can experiment writing & running code without going near a soldering iron.
Thanks.

Sorting resistors

Trying to sort through 100's of resistors. Do you all sort them by the third color band, or do you get down finer than that?
Thanks for answers.

printed inductors
|
| |
When an inductor is printed on a PCB in the shape of a 'square wave' or square zigzag, each time it zags the trace doubles back on itself. Doesn't this cancel the magnetic field to an extent? How much does the coil structure matter to a coiled inductor, or would the straight wire have the... more »

Timer problem with Parallel port monitoring
|
| |
Hey everyone,
I'm very much so a newbie at electronics, but figured I'd try and tackle a problem for my scout group: making a pinewood car timer.
I found this schematic online that uses optical transmitters:
[link]
I have hooked everything up as seen in the schematic to the best of my ability... I have hooked up the parallel port grounds (Pins 18-25) also to the negative row at the bottom of my breadboard, so all the grounds are on the same line (I couldn't figure out how else to do that).... more »

Ping uncle steve
|

Hey, I took time out of my life in order to address your concerns,
provided a solution for you with respect to the "Transistors" thread,
and yet you seem to be avoiding acknowledgement of my favor.
Why is that?
