Does ascorbic acid react with DMSO(Dimethyl sulfoxide)

If I were to mix ascorbic acid(vitamin C) with DMSO(Dimethyl
sulfoxide), do they react with each other and form new compounds? Will
the DMSO and vitamin C get absorbed through the skin? To ensure
optimal absorption of ascorbic acid through the skin, should I mix it
with DMSO and apply them together, or apply the DMSO first and then
later apply the ascorbic acid in the same area? Thanks.
