Staff Scientist in biotech

This position is responsible for developing and creating new
radiolabeled products to expand catalog offerings and for doing
routine manufacturing of radiolabeled products. The incumbent will be
responsible for the execution of multi-step organic or biochemical
syntheses, including purification, analysis and identification of
targeted products. The individual will develop protocols based on
experience and scientific literature, document results, and implement
the transfer of the product manufacturing to the appropriate
personnel. Responsibilities include product setup in the ERP system,
manufacturing records and other systems. The chemist is responsible to
work safely and independently. Job Requirements :

5 years industrial experience doing synthetic organic chemistry or
biochemistry preferably with 14C and Tritium radioisotopes.
Demonstrated hands on experience in acquisition and interpretation of
analytical data (NMR, HPLC,TLC, MS) and in-depth knowledge of
purification techniques such as HPLC are essential as is a working
knowledge researching scientific literature and utilizing chemistry
based software. Demonstrates high level technical knowledge and
ingenuity with the ability to develop synthetic methods and to trouble
shoot work. Good written and oral communication in English is
required.
