Clinical Research in biotech
Job Essentials:
- Provides information and support for patients and families regarding
research trials participation and informed consent. - Registers
eligible patients to appropriate trial according to procedures
outlined by trial. - Ensures that all tests required by the protocol
are performed within specified time and that all eligibility
requirements are met. - Maintains contact with patient/family and
physician to provide continuity of care and follow-up. - Administers
patient/participant information questionnaires as required by research
trial. - Monitors test results and assists physician in dose
modification or other treatment change as required by protocol. -
Assists physician in reporting and completing forms on patient adverse
events with the required FDA, NCI and protocol guidelines.
Educational Requirements, Qualifications: Minimum one year of Oncology
nursing experience preferred; prior clinical research experience
preferred. Strong analytical and control skills are required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to
communicate with physicians and with patients about the protocol
requirements.
