ADMIN: system upgrade-induced outage

Folkaroo,
I updated my system from Windows Vista to Windows 8 (there are those who
might say this is from the frying pan to the fire, but fie on them). This
bollixed my comm software to connect to the host where the newsgroup is
hosted - obviously, I've worked around that and the mod process should
be more timely in the future. Sorry for any inconvenience, John.
My personal email is still ragged, however, so if you do email me, there
may well be a day or two delay in getting replies out.
