Here in Southern Ontario we were delighted by the "invasion" of thousands of red admirals, beginning April 16. I'm curious about the waves of other species that Chip Taylor mentions here. Are any of you in the Midwest seeing unusual numbers?

I am a masters student of in the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology
department at UConn working with *Pieris virginiensis *(West Virginia
White). I need 6 female *P. virginiensis *females for my ovipositon
experiment with garlic mustard and was hoping someone could help me locate

Lyside sulphur (Kricogonia lyside) outbreak in southwest Texas

FYI,
Lyside sulphurs make periodic mass movements across south Texas
which appear to induced by an extensive drought followed by heavy,
widespread rains.

Was going through my moths and found this brown moth I had not iD'd. Missing some scales.
Maybe a Dasychira dorsipennata any suggestions would be great.
