Where did this comes from?
Me? A simple glass pusher, a hacker.
Simple point. Pietro used a computer to post to the net. The computer was
located in an internet cafe. The computer was infected with a virus. Pietro
for some reason had mine and several other people that posted in sci.astro
in an M$ address book.
The virus read that book and generated several 1000's of virus attacks. The
crime was even after pietro was told the system he was using was infected,
he *CONTINUED* to use them.

Yes, they're going to try and clone it, but they would only get a hybrid
mammoth-elephant, and even after 200 generations, it still wouldn't ever
be fully mammoth.

hmm... my "stupid" notion ? well since siberia can supports only a few
large mammals in these days, and since a previous pole shift it did
not happed (for you) you should ask to yourself this question: why
would they want to live in siberia anyway !? ..those huge animals that
ate only grass..wasn't well suited to survive in a severe climate and
in a rare and sparse vegetation.

Mastodons aren't mammoths; they were browsers, where mammoths
were grazers. Different biome entirely.

Hey, Doc,
He also has no clue about the great grass prairies of the Ice
Age, south of the glaciers. There weren't any significant
Siberian glaciers, and the mammoths there lived on the tundra
(which was somewhat different than the modern Siberian tundra,
and richer in forage); but in North America, not too far away
from the glacial ice, there were vast plains of grass that
rivaled today's African savanna in carrying capacity for
grazers like the mammoth.
Curious that our young Pietro hasn't noticed that we're
talking about the "wooly" mammoth. Perhaps he thinks polar
bears migrate to the equator for the winter, too.
..a lot of frozen mammoths in siberia..maybe they got lost..
did they perform a compass experiment ?

Tundra ? mmmh..let me guess; is that a place with a rare and a sparse
vegetation
where a huge animal like an elephant cannot survive ? ah ! of course

they are. What are you basing all the nonsense on? What are the

Webster doesn't agree with idiots like you:
Main Entry: tun·dra
Pronunciation: 't&n-dr& also 'tun-
Function: noun
Etymology: Russian, of Lappish origin; akin to Kola Lappish tundar
hill
Date: circa 1841
a level or rolling treeless plain that is characteristic of arctic and
subarctic regions, consists of black mucky soil with a permanently
frozen subsoil, and has a dominant vegetation of mosses, lichens,
herbs, and dwarf shrubs; also : a similar region confined to
mountainous areas above timberline

Daymn Peitro, you are proud of being an idiot. 350,000 caribou live

Those caribou have not a mammoth bulk...
ok... kid, try with your immagination this: get an elephant suit him
with a fur-coat, bring him in siberia and just wait for a week you
will see if he has
enough food to survive.
Eskimos ? so you put at the same level a human with an animal ?
an animal can't build an igloo for shelter, or make some tools for
hunt or fish
he just go where he suppost to stay: in the right place, that's why a
lion don't stay in alaska or a polar bear in sicily or an elephant in
a... siberian tundra.

Oh no, a mummified mammoth in the ground!
How can we possibly account for this except with space aliens and
mysterious wibbly wobbly invisible planets???
A clue for you kook - climate change. It happens all the time - it's
happening right now. It's not a hard concept to follow. I believe there
are even books on the subject.
Of course as I have never posted here before, I don't know the history
of this problem, but I have seen similar things happen other places,
where the person accused of having an infected machine where in fact
not responsible at all. Many modern mass mailing worms have a SMTP
functionality built in, and will scan the hard drive for mail
addresses (address books and browser caches for example), and chose
one to spoof as the sender. This means that the person that gets all
the complaints is in fact not infected(a virus doesn't send itself to
this person, as that would be suspicious) and so it will take more
time to track the source of the mails. Even if the person that started
the thread was the originator, it doesn't mean he has added you to his
address list, as the virus could just as well have found the addresses
in a browser cache or something like that...
I my self have received several mails from mail systems warning me
that the mail I sent was infected, when I never have sent any mails to
them, never have had a virus infection.. Either someone that have my
address in their list must have had the virus, or someone who has been
on a site where my mail vas listed got infected, and the virus digged
the address from this persons cache... Anyway, its quite frustrating
being marked as a virus spreader, when one knows one is innocent of
this.
This is not an attempt to absolve the thread starter of the blame if
he is the guilty one... I just thought I would mention this
possibility, just to make sure it was taken in to account, If you have
taken this in to account, I apologize for bothering you...

Nope, nitwit. They discovered and used a "battery" and yes, at that
time, they had actually learned to "gold plate" stuff, which is what
they used the technology for, you nitwit, at least the evidence
suggests that. You, however, suggest, in your incoherent, racist
fashion, that somehow these people were incapable of discovering
things without help from aliens.

dance for us kookboi.
I'd further like to know why pietro is interested in email addresses.
What does he do, collect them like stamps?
Probably tried to send me the same shit, but it probably bounced
because he's too stupid to unmunge my email addy, so that's why he
asked.
Very suspicious.
Well, yes, I don't think the police anywhere would have the capacity
or willingness to investigate such things... There is so much flying
around on the net, that only serious stuff, like severe threats, virus
making, intentional virus/Trojan proliferation and such could hope to
raise any serious effort...
If I were accused of spreading viruses, I would rather check my
network for any suspicious stuff, and then if I found something, I
would apologize, if not, I would report that I didn't find anything,
and suggest that it might be spoofed mails from another reader of the
board/group(it does happen). Of course, my accusers might not accept
this, especially if they were my opposition in some discussion and
thought I wanted to take revenge or something, and that would require
some further action, but if all failed I would probably just leave the
board/group (It wouldn't be worth discussing in if such accusations
were to continue), not go to the police, it's not much they could do
anyway...
Hmmm, He doesn't need to collect them, a virus doesn't need the
address to be in an address book, it could just as well find it in a
browser cache, so if he had been browsing google groups all the
addresses would be there. These viruses wouldn't unmung any addresses
though, so it wouldn't get to you...
And an advice to anyone reading this, who has gotten a mail that said
it was from Microsoft, and containing a patch, or got a bounced
response on a mail they didn't send, containing an attachment of about
140k-150k. This was probably the Swen virus, and since I have gotten
quite a few Swen-mails since my post here, I know some of you must be
infected, if you ran it(doesn't mather if you select OK or not on the
install requester) or something... The Swen virus can interfere
with/shut down antivirus and firewall software, so no warning doesn't
mean there is no virus. The virus can spread with the help of your
private mail account (it can spoof a request for account info, so if
you have gotten a MAPI32 exception request for mail server, username
and password, this might have been Swen), It has its own inbuilt SMTP
server to help it mail itself, or spread through news groups, it can
spread through networks, file sharing systems (like KaZaA) and through
the mIRC IRC client. You can read more about the virus over at
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.s...@mm.html
and download a scanner/removal tool from this page(It doesn't hurt to
download and scan):
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.s...@mm.removal.tool.html
( http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/FixSwen.exe )
If you have no virus software installed there are a free online
scanner at
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
and you can get free antivirus software from
http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_dwnl_free.php
(I am not accusing you, Wally Anglesea, for spreading viruses, I just
thought I would mention it since I was posting anyway, but it seems it
got longer than I expected, sorry about that...)
Its typical kook logic, Aliens are always behind any significant
technology. Humans can't invent anything more advanced than a piece of
sharp-edged rock... So its not really racism as we are used to think
of it, its derogatory remakes against ones own species... What I fail
to understand is why some super advanced aliens would be behind the
invention of a simple battery cell, and its not really a pile is it,
it more like a couple of pieces of metal in a clay container that was
filled with some sort of fruit juice(or are I thinking of the wrong
things?)
An electric pile consists of several small individual cells made of
two metal disks of different metals and with a layer of paper/cloth
impregnated with an acid between them... its called a pile since it is
a stack of small cells...
But I do agree it was probably used for gold plating... Though one
never know, there might have been some people playing around with
these things, but why an alien is needed when human curiosity is more
than enough to explain this, I don't know... Though I might think
aliens a possibility if the topic was the invention of lutefisk... I
mean, putting fish in lye, that's just strange
Though it would be a little lower than the possibility of it being
made to scare of the Midgard serpent, That thing can be a real pain in
the neck.. ;-p

We know who built Machu Picchu, the stone quarries are right up
there on the mountain and some of the tools they used are there.
As for the Nazca lines I tend to take the word of Maria Reich,
a lady who spent several decades on site. They are ritual lines
that go along with the underground irrigation channels that you
have never even heard about. They were made by the people
who lived there for religious purposes and all your woo woo
nonsense made up from people who have never even been
there, let alone spending decades researching on site, will
avail you nothing but the scorn you deserve.
You have also failed to explain what evidence you
have of an "obvious pole shift around 1600". There
is nothing obvious about it. It is pure fantasy.
Also, you have never provided a source for the
"spring flowers" you claim were found in frozen mammoths.
You lose, luser.
Ahem. yeah, riiggght.

Viruses *never* get through to me. (and that ain't a boast, OR an

what about E.T. in this planet ?
How the hell did the sumerian know about; uranus "kakkabschana" or
neptune "en.ti.mash.sig" (that mean shine green planet) without
telescopes or any hi.tech. tools ?
did you know that voyager sent neptune's pics..and can you figure out
what is the planet's color ?..shine-green..
did you know that "we" discovered uranus in 1781 (William
Herschel)neptune in 1846 (johann gotfried Galle & Heinrich Ludwig
d'Arrest) and pluto in 1930 (Clyde Tombaugh)
did you know that they discovered an ancien "elettric-battery" (pile
is Italian mean battery) in Iraq ?
why those ancient people need a battery for ? did they used to
go around with little hi-fi stereo in they car ?
now you will find some punk-links for explain things from "your lame

Of course the Incas built a city on the top of a mountain and the

That's Ok :-)...
It's kind of strange actually how kooks often think aliens are behind
all kinds of stuff, And how they go on about that the aliens is so
much more advanced than us, so we must accept that its our science
that is wrong every time... I don't see why we should expect anything
less in proof from aliens than we would from a human pushing the same
hypothesis... I think its better to be careful, there are thousands of
new ideas being put forward from not quite mainstream people, it might
seem harsh to them, but I would rather that it took longer time before
something was accepted(If something is right, it will be rediscovered
when the time is right), than the mainstream being tainted by the
lowering of the standards, but the kooks seems to think its better to
accept new ideas, even if it had the potential of tainting our
understanding of the universe...
Aliens are probably like other people, some are nice and trustworthy
while others will try to prevent you from evolving to a threat, or try
to force you to their way of seeing things... hmmm... Interesting
recipes by the way, I am getting hungry here :-9
Now, where did I put that net and flashing LED alien lure.... ;-p
I replied to this post already Pietro. Can't you read?
Why do you keep replying to the same old posts with the same
nonsense? This is what you are known for Pietro, being a coward
who claims to leave, then posts kooky stuff and who NEVER replies
with anything even resembling sense.
Weren't you going to stop replying to me?

Yes, it is "close", but it still seems to escape you. There is
nothing there about spring flowers. You really didn't

They built Cuzco too, and it is located on a mountain. Who
are you claiming built them, when we have the quarries and
tools they used right near by?

I'd like to see Pietro try to answer. So far all he seems capable
of doing is posting old posts and saying that he answered. He
can't even come up with the standard kook answers.

Hail the un-alive
Weird. After publicly I tell Pietro that I never get a virus, after
he questions my munged email address, and after a 2 week lull where no
worm infected mails come to me, I get 98 in one evening. Ya know
what's *really funny*?
1:They don't ever get downloaded, only the headers are checked.
2: They are deleted (actually shredded, so they don't even tombstone
for recovery) within 30 seconds of them arriving on the server
3: They don't cost me anything.
4: All I see are the statistics.
5: my emails don't get infected.
Now Pietro, I'm NOT accusing you, because I have nothing to suggest
they come from you. It was a *public* boast on my part, so I imagine
this current crop could come from some loser that thinks he can get
past me.
Advice Pietro: get Grisoft, it's free, and for any that do get
through, this will get them.
