This should be taken as a casual contribution.

The concept of time as an illusion encounters great diffficulties when
geometry becomes very simple at the core of a black hole.In stellar
collapse, the volume of a star decreases ,this can be framed in another
way by saying that the distance between the center and circumference
of the star shrinks and if it were possible, events can be seen to take
place on the surface. If there is no distinction or distance between
center and circumference,(in this case infinite density/zero
volume),time as a measure of events cease to exist yet as the center
contains density, albeit infinite, time cannot be proposed as ceasing
to exist because the mass at the center prohibits such a contention.

The point is that not only must one consider infinite density/zero
volume ,the contradiction in regard to time allows that infinite
volume/zero density must be considered as a quality but now a
geometric problem emerges. If geometry is absent from a singularity it
cannot be absent from it's opposite value of infinite volume/zero
density because the visible Universe lies in middle of these infinite
and zero values of volume and density.

The emerging conclusion that the Universe ends on a cold note while it
began in as singularity state as it moves from infinite density/zero
volume to zero density/infinite volume may be premature to say the
least insofar as time and geometry have not yet been reconciled at the
singularity state.
