The purpose of this post is to create awareness of Moderated
sci.astro.amateur's game arcade. This is a great place for people
that possess a competitive side or would simply enjoy some challenging
fun. All existing scores on the games found there are erased once
every two months and this has just been done. So, this is an
excellent time to put up a new high score as many games are still
waiting for their first hit. Guests can play in the arcade. You do
not have to register with the forum but be aware that if you get the
high score on any of the games playing as a guest, then that new high
score will be credited to "guest" on the main page of the arcade.
Registered members of the forum have their names credited for their
results. To get to the arcade, go to www.moderatedsciastroamateur.org
and look for the word ARCADE on the horizontal index bar near the top
of the page.

Why, if your private group is so great, do you need to "advertise" it here?

If it can't stand on its own, so be it!

perhaps to create awareness of the group to those who don't know it
exists. a message to those who stumble upon THIS group and can't find
an astronomy related article amongst the spam. perhaps.

Perhaps indeed.

But Mr Piggy, Pushies and.... Screwball. How low can you go?

I had a look at the forums.

http://www.moderatedsciastroamateur.org/

Despite a large number of advertisements here (it's OK afaiac), there
doesn't seem to be much activity: the reflector group has 4 posts and
1 topic. Deep Sky Observations has 5 posts and 3 topics. Quite
objectively, less astronomy related information than what we see here,
despite the spam.
