It is great that the Ra/Dec system predicts these events within the
calendar system but genuine observers can see there is something
really lacking in the depth of observation and this is what appeals to
genuine astronomers as opposed to those who treat the event out of
context as you are doing now.
The eclipse shows a lunar phase in its orbital cycle of the Earth that
is normally hidden behind the glare of the Sun,they knew this 5200
years ago when they constructed a lunar calendar at an astronomical
site that marks the Equinox event -

Likewise as Venus overtakes the Earth with the central Sun as a
backdrop and carries on until it emerges before the dawn Sun a number
of weeks later,it shows its full phase of darkness in an event that
will be lost for generations to come.It may be possible some day to
witness a transit of the Earth from Mars where our planet,moving in an
inner circuit,overtakes Mars but nobody talks about these things
presently due to the disinterest in astronomy at this level.
