I am currently beginning a thesis on the influence of Egyptianizing
stylistic elements on Roman wall painting, especially in Pompeii. I have
recently heard of the discovery of a "Purple Room" somewhere in a house in
Pompeii that has evidence of this trend. Can anyone give me any
information about this room or perhaps point me in the right direction as
to where I might find more information about this subject? Any help would
be greatly appreciated.
