Rubbish. The South American pyramids were often stepped, were provided
with staircases from bottom to top, and supported temples on the top.
The Egyptian pyramids were smooth (apart from the first one), had no
external staircases and didn't have temples on them, but *were* tombs.
About the only similarity is that they both had sloping sides.
