RUETERS -- Washington, D.C. --
The Theory of Evolution died early
this morning of natural causes, said
Charles Darwin IV, great-grandson
of the author of "Origin of Species."
It was 109 and had been in ill
health ever since that SOB of an Ed
Conrad came onto the scene with his
freakin' bones, teeth and soft organs
-- some human -- that he discovered
between coal veins.
Conrad will not be permitted to
attend the funeral to be held in the Rotunda
of the Smithsonian on Monday morning.
Burial will be in the Arlington, Va.,
landfill.

since been detected. However, doctors are
keeping their fingers crossed, expecting
Death to arrive later today.
Dr. Jack Kevorkian is rushing to the
bedside so the funeral won't have to be
postponed. After all, arrangements already
are set for Monday morning and any change
would create a bit of a hassle.
Besides, the obituary already has been
phoned in to the New York Times, Washington
Post, Miami Herald, Philadelphia Inquirer,

and a call placed to President Bush.
