"Differentiation between fore- & hindlimb bones & locomotor behaviour in
Primates"
Fol.primatol.74:17-32
. The pirmate group which daily adopted a rel.terrestrial locomotor type
demonstrates robust forelimb bones compared with the group which adopted a
fully arboreal loc.type. In contrast, the arboreal group showed rel.large &
long hindlimb bones. The difference resembles the previously reported
comparison betw.terr.& arb.groups among wholly quadrupedal mammals. Humans
were more similar to the arboreal than to the terrestrial group. .
