Hi!

After marking up my events site with schema.org, is there anything
more to do or just wait?

In the past I already tried my luck using microformat, but the
snippets were never displayed. I followed the instructions, tested it
successfully with the testing tool and submitted the form n times.

I mean, these snippets.. it's all largely advertised, but in the end
it seems to be an undeterministic thing. You don't really get a
feedback you can count on.

Have a nice day!

What is your site?

Hi!

The site is logically made up of three physical sites, according to
the available languages:

German: http://www.suedtirol.com
Italian: http://www.alto-adige.com
English: http://www.south-tirol.com

All these sites share the same code.

Using the example of the German site, the events list is under:
http://www.suedtirol.com/events,

...the detail page of a single event:
http://www.suedtirol.com/event/267/oetzi20

As I said, I recently (nearly two weeks ago) switched from Microformat
to schema.org.

I do see events that show up -

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=site%3Aalto-adige.com%2Feventi
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=site%3Aalto-adige.com%2Fevento

So it may be a matter of time before they show up for all sites/urls.

By the time you, Pravir, was looking at my site, the events were still
marked up using Microformat.. I thought the schema.org mark-up was
already online.

So, it worked.. but not to my complete satisfaction as you can read
from another post of me:
http://groups.google.com/group/schemaorg-discussion/browse_thread/thread/f19f6be996f68481/3d392f511272d3fd?lnk=gst&q=Events#3d392f511272d3fd

Only Events were shown within the snippets list, whose start date lies
in the future.

Now, I thought to give schema.org a try, but expecting to do step
forward, I did a step backward instead: the snippets ain't shown at
all.

Is Google evaluating schema.org mark-up?

Thanks!

The preview for Event markup in Google's testing tool using schema.org should be live within two weeks. There has been some delay in rolling out the preview UI for it.
Thanks

Thanks for the info about the testing tool, but I wanted to know if
the Goggle search engine itself is already showing search results with
rich snippets based on schema.org mark-up?

I've seen a couple of sites marked up with schema.org, but have never
seen their appearence in the search result.

Cheers
