Cassandra Maven dependency - why is it not a version available in riptano

Hi,

The scale7-pelops 0.911-0.7.0-SNAPSHOT has a dependency on apache-
cassandra which is not available in the riptano public repo.

<dependency>
<groupId>org.apache.cassandra</groupId>
<artifactId>apache-cassandra</artifactId>
<version>0.7.0-rc2-r1042731</version>
</dependency>


It would be far more convenient if you were using


<dependency>
<groupId>org.apache.cassandra</groupId>
<artifactId>apache-cassandra</artifactId>
<version>0.7.0-rc2</version>
</dependency>

Yeah, the Riptano guys hadn't published the RC2 build at the time the change was made.  Updated now...

That's awesome - Thanks for the quick turnaround. Backing out my
exclusions and dependency workarounds now :)

Riptano has released 0.7.0 deps for cassandra. Is there a timeline
for when pelops will be updated to support this dep?

Oh, missed that one of the mailing list.  Done!

p.s. The Cassandra team are now publishing org.apache.cassandra:cassandra-all to the central repo.  I've had a look at it but decided against switching to it because it includes a lot of deps not required by cassandra clients.  There has been talk of a cassandra-client dep that should sort this out so I think we should hold off till that arrives...

p.p.s. Feel free to issue pull requests for things like this! :)

p.p.p.s We'll release a non-snapshot version of Pelops soon.  I''ll wait to Dominic gets back from his holiday before making the required changes.
