Scala 2.10.0 install problem.

Hi all.

I recently downloaded version 2.10.0 (the msi file for a WinXP SP3 machine) and upon attempting to install it, a message box appeared stating another version of the product was already installed and this attempt could not be completed. I searched the Add/Remove programs list but I did not see any Scala entry listed. I manually deleted the previous version and methodically searched for any other entry in a folder / sub-folder on the system but to no avail. I have rebooted the machine but that didn't help either.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Look for "The Scala Programming Language".   I believe its with the "T" in the alphabet.

This is a windows versioning thing, so you have to make sure windows installer knows it was deleted using add/remove programs.  You may need to "repair" before you can uninstall.

If you have issues, you can probably expand the zip in the previous install location to temporarily trick it.

Note: unfortunately, windows always requires an uninstall between 2.x releases....
