Hey guys,

I'm preparing a Scala training and am still looking for funny images that can be included in the slides to lighten the mood, you know :)
I'll start by sharing what I found today: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/163/iterables01.jpg/

So, what funny images for Scala, Akka, Monads, loops, functional programming, classes, objects etc. do you have ?

Regards
Stephan

Well, at the risk of presenting something rather more disturbing than funny, I once made this for an article I was planning about Scala's chances of success, given its alleged complexity and its beardless creator:

I don't know if I'd want this on a t-shirt, but if anyone has a Lichtensteinesque of paulp in the blue suit and red cape with this quote in a balloon, I'd take a print:

"Implicit scope might be my kryptonite!"

Maybe with kryptonite in italics.  And implicit scope in bold?

"Implicit scope might be my kryptonite!"

Also of interest would be the Drowning Girl
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Roy_Lichtenstein_Drowning_Girl.jpg

but with the caption:

"I'd rather sink -- than post on scala-user for help!"

Also, the famous:

"Oh, Scala... I love you, too... But..."

Or:

"That's the way -- it should have begun!  But it's hopeless!"

which is actually closer to something paulp might say on the ML.

Image of prostrate figure saying that through tears:

Actually, I'd take any of these on a medium-size, good-quality t-shirt
.

What about Paul's famous “beamish day Callooh”?

It has become my war cry when I start hacking in the compiler.

Hmmmm, and the civil (language) war we're in the midst of that the pictured man will help resolve?
