I'm delighted to announce that Runar Bjarnason, who is in town for the YOW conference, will be coming along to our next Scala meeting, on Monday Nov 26th.

Runar is a Scalaz committer, co-author of Functional Programming in Scala [manning.com/bjarnason], and has presented about Scala and Functional Programming at many conferences including Scala Days, Strange Loop and the Northeast Scala Symposium. He works as a software developer at Capital IQ in Boston, and has blogs at [blog.higher-order.com] and [apocalisp.wordpress.com].

Im going to propose the format of the evening be a free-flowing Q & A session, rather than a structured talk. He say's he's happy for people to bring along any questions or topics they want discussed or answered.

As usual, we're at VLSCI in Carlton, hosted by Bernie Pope. Arrive from 6pm for a 6:30 start. Newcomers welcome. The outer street door is unlocked, ring the marked bell in the lobby to enter the inner doors. Any problems, reach me on 0423 879 534.

Hope to see you there,
-Ben
