Hi

I've just posted this to the main scala email group but if you don't read it then here is a repeat.
Basically, even if you are not going to ScalaDays but fancy a drink and a bit of a scala chat on Monday night then come to the Shakespeare pub (between skillsmatter and barbican tube), hopefully there should be some out-of-towners and a good evening.

Hi All

Someone has just commented that what ScalaDays really needs is more socialising and a bit of a get-to-know-everyone evening beforehand, so if you're in London on Monday evening and want to come out for a drink and a Scala chat then please join us at The Shakespeare close the Barbican from 5:30 ( or whatever time the 'fast track to play' course finishes). Just look for the Scala badges/tshirts/etc

Time: Monday from: 5:30
At: The Shakespeare

Also, Dojo Evening
On Thursday the TimGroup hold there regular monthly Scala Dojo, there are currently some spaces and all are welcome. To sign up http://www.meetup.com/london-scala/events/56585192/

If you know-of/ planning/ or want to meet-up with other events around ScalaDays then it would be interesting to know about them

Andy
ps: if you live in London join the LSUG

Some other stuff that may be useful:-

Map of Area
The best map of walking distance around the Barbican that I can find is: http://www.barbican.org.uk/media/directions/barbican_walking_map.pdf
The evening reception at Lincoln's Inn is located between Kingsway and Chancery Lane on this the map.

Non Scala or guide-book stuff
Anyone interested in computer history may be interested in knowing that the portate of Ada Lovelace that is normally hangs 10 Downing Street is on show at Whitechapel Gallery (directions on map above)
