Literal % in the f interpolator

Which of the two behaviours highlighted in the discussion makes more
sense to you?
1) Show an error just like java string formatting does
2) Silently escape the % and print it verbatim

Error. If one wants a regular percent char, it should be doubled (or escaped?)
