Concepts of Scala Language

Hi folks,

I'm trying to assess the concepts of Scala language, however I'm having some troubles to find information about this following topics:

• Binding of Atributtes and Variables
  
• If the binding is static or dynamic?
• Storage Bindings and Lifetime
  
• Type Checking 

You can find information about these topics at the book Concepts of Programming Language, Robert W. Sebesta.

I'd like some material recommendation about this kind of concepts or any answer about this.

I tried to have a look at CoPL, but there doesn't seem to be any usable reference online.
Could you be a bit more precise about what you're interested in, so I can either answer or point to the appropriate resources?

at best, scala-debate may be appropriate, but you'd have to be a little bit more precise in your question

yes, variables are statically scoped, but i have no idea what dynamic type binding is

if it means dynamic dispatch (or late binding ) as in Java, then yes, yes of course

in any case, this group is meant only for technical discussions on the internals of the language
