The URL doesn't seem to be a valid Eclipse repository location (it doesn't provide the files I would have expected).

This is not provided directly by the Scala IDE Team, but by Spring Source. So there is not much we can do about it. You should try to report the problem to them.

In the meantime, I don't know for sure what they were providing at this location, but it was likely the latest release version of Scala IDE.

I have a direct connection to the Internet.

Opening that URL in a browser shows an XML document with <error><code>AccessDenied</ ...  Though that may just be because the browser doesn't authenticate like the IDE does.

Can anyone help?
