Hi,

Just wanted to thank you guys for the good time last night at the Scala
Enthusiasts Group.  It was interesting to see what Jean-Luc found to be
most interesting with regards to GIT.

I wish I could have stayed longer but I had woken up at 5:30 AM and got
home at 11:00 pm in the end so I decided it was wisest to leave when I did.

I will be back again soon.  I think I am out of the country next month
during the group meeting but I will be back when I can.

Jesse

Yes, thanks from me as well.

It wasn't Scala, but it was very interesting nonetheless.

I still haven't got the full workflow straight in my mind, and in
particular the moveable tag/branch problem. I come from a world where
people (mostly) don't tag & branch correctly in the first place, so having
moveable tags (without a trace somewhere) seems to be asking for problems,
at least in my context.

Matthew Farwell.

Hey Scala Enthusiasts!

First of all, thank you for having been present at this presentation. I am
pleased that you've appreciated the time and hope it may help.

The presentation materials (including few comments about possible
improvements) have been added on github here:
https://github.com/jlc/segl-git-action

Moreover, specially for Jesse and Carlo who couldn't follow the best part
for experienced Git users, here are few links about Git internals and Git
workflows.
These documents are very interesting and quick to read too!

* Git internals

* Git workflow - Git flow
http://nvie.com/posts/a-successful-git-branching-model/

* Git distributed workflow

Hope to see you at the next session!

Jeanluc

Thanks for the presentation.
It will surely help those who couldn't follow everything during the session.

Regards
Edvins
