If the Scala team were The Avengers, which superhero would each of them be?

To encourage free creativity, there are no strictures: it's not necessary that Martin is Nick Fury, or that Heather has to be Black Widow.  Wikipedia says Black Widow has:

psychological conditioning that suppresses her memory of true events as opposed to implanted ones of the past without the aid of specially designed system suppressant drugs, attempts to do so result in extreme biological reactions, indicated as vomiting and black-outs.

I think that applies to anyone who has looked at a bug report.

Certainly, the following would explain how Martin was able to play an important role in ancient tech like Java as well as future tech like Scala:

Fury takes a special medication called the Infinity Formula that halted his aging and allows him to be active despite being nearly a century old.

As a nod to tail recursion, our Nick Fury takes Ouroboros Juice.  Same formula, different flavor.  (Now with Vitamin Trampoline!)

Apparently, it's also OK to create new superpersonae as warranted:

The rotating roster has become a hallmark of the team, although one theme remains consistent: the Avengers fight "the foes no single superhero can withstand". The team, famous for its battle cry of "Avengers Assemble!", has featured humans, mutants, robots, gods, aliens, supernatural beings, and even former villains.

Bonus points for identifying the former villains!

I know I'm not alone in saying: Thank-you, Team Scala, wherever you are!

And, of course, that way you take a long slide into an unmaintainable codebase.

FYI, I'm the reason you don't have to say that in the past tense.  Yet.

Yes, I am well aware of that! - Martin

Well...  Ironman/Tony Stark was a self-made American millionaire with a wry sense of humour and a genius-level ability to churn out new technology faster than any other human.... who does that give us?  Hmm.....  Ooh let me think.  Beats me.
