Greetings jugglers, unicyclists, circus folks and fans!
The 2009 Berkeley Juggling & Unicycling Festival is less than a week away! Here's a quick rundown of the latest info.
VENUE CHANGE! We've upgraded to a bigger venue that will let us keep longer hours. We are now at the Berkeley High School. There are 3 gyms at Berkeley High and we are in Jacket gym on the northeast side of the high school campus. Public transport via downtown Berkeley Bart station is just a few blocks away.
The VARIETY SHOW is set to be outstanding this year with some world class talent including Michael Davis (seasoned comic with appearances on SNL and the Tonight Show) among many others. Check our website for full lineup. Note, the show is still at King School Theater - the same location as past years.
JASON GARFIELD will be teaching a juggling master class on Friday evening. This is an advanced workshop covering body throws, practice techniques, and the meaning of life. You definitely do not want to miss this.
We're also running a UNICYCLE FREESTYLE MASTER CLASS on Saturday with world champion Ryan Woessner at the helm.
The RENEGADE SHOW is definitely ON at Berkeley High at 10pm and will be heaps of fun.
We've got plenty of well prepared WORKSHOPS this year.
The Athletic Playground will be running acrobalance classes, Lariat Larry will be teaching rope tricks, Andrew Conway will lead a whipcracking workshop, and there are great instructors lined up for a wide range of other topics too numerous to mention here. See website for full schedule.
As always, our festival is FREE! Show tickets are a bargain at only $10. Please help us spread the word!
