Hi Jason,
If you're trying to print dimensional components (accurate size to perform a function) then ponoko or Shapeways are probably your best bet.  Our cupcake has consistently frustrated us when trying to get parts to fit with other objects. If you're attempting more art type projects, then by all means experiment with the cupcake. But the cheap materials cost is by far outweighed by the man time to get the cupcake doing what you want for functional design work.
The space really needs a better 3d printing solution for both ease of use and print quality and if i had the spare cash, I'd get one of the new crop (cup cake is at least 3 year old design).

Thanks you guys, I sent it off, but Brad I will look you up next time. I ended up printing it in stainless steel, do you have that capability?
