Villa Park Firefighters Association

The Orange County Fire Authority Board has voted to keep the three Reserve engines in service. With this vote come a great many changes in the reserve program.  Management at the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) was given a directive to get behind the Reserve program and make it an additional asset to the firefighting force.  Reserves will have a new plan which will involve individual and unit response measurements.  An additional change was increasing the number of Reserves to each roster by 5.  This will bring the roster size for the Reserves at Station 23 to a total of 25.  With a current roster containing only 12 reserves, recruiting men and women wanting to get in the fire service (either as a career or to serve the community) will be big both from the OCFA and the Reserves at Station 23.
