Come one, come all! Let's get together and hit some trails at Tiger
Mountain State Forest, which is about an hour outside Seattle:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=321+Broadway+E,+Seattle,+WA+98102&daddr=tiger+mountain+state+forest&geocode=%3BFQSV1AIdoRK7-CG-D2Er5cKDoA&hl=en&mra=ls&sll=47.543515,-122.107685&sspn=0.244266,0.617981&ie=UTF8&ll=47.490297,-121.964035&spn=0.122258,0.30899&z=12

We're hoping to get about a 5 mi trip total, which should make for a
good full afternoon. Additional info can be found at
http://www.parks.wa.gov/contacts/ (though the office hours are during
the week.)

We start at 10 am, so folks should probably shoot to hit the highway
by 9. The hike should be done by 3 or 4ish. If folks end up eating
dinner afterwards, then we'll probably hit the highway to go home
around 6, which'll put you back in Seattle around 7 if that's where
you're going.

Transportation! It is entirely possible that you, like me, need a
ride out there. If folks have some spare room & would like to
carpool, that would be most excellent! Just go ahead & fire a reply
to this thread. Drivers, if you could include the number of open
seats you have & your rough starting location, that would speed things
along greatly as well.

Things to Bring:

* Water! Stay hydrated!
* A bag lunch, to be messily devoured around noon
* A hat and/or sunscreen
* Rain jacket / poncho? Good socks?
* Common sense

If folk would like eat dinner afterwards, here are some things we
spotted near by (and any and all suggestions are welcome!):

i would love to come! i will need a ride as my car is not currently
working...

on a side note-
other things to bring a good sturdy set of boots/walking shoes (which
ever you prefer)
if struggle keeping your balance a walking stick might also be a good
idea...
a camera (really we only need one, whoever takes the pictures can just
upload them later)

I'll be there, with a friend. I'm coming from Ballard, and can take
2-3 more, but might not be able to stick around for dinner.

Could the people who need rides also say where they are?

I'm in Capitol Hill, around the intersection of Broadway & Denny
(actually, the 'starting address' of the google maps link is my
address.)

  So y'all know --
  I've been keeping a log in http://etherpad.com/saturdayhouse ;
  I invite you to update it with your information.

So it sounds like me (in capitol hill, broadway & denny-ish) & ryan
both could use a ride. Rehena, would you mind if I snagged a seat
with you then?

Oh! That would work too. Really, I just want to make sure it gets
nailed down before any confusion can bite us. Jeff, does that work
for you?

Sure. I'm at boylston & olive, so why don't people meet at my place at
9?

I can pick you up in Wallingford if you give me a location, or it
sounds like you could meet up with Phil and Jeff at 9.
