Hey all... I am going to call a Cigar Chomping Meeting for Next
Tuesday December 2nd after the Holiday. Say 6:30 or so at Giraffe Labs.

Since Saturday House moved its home out of SODO, to its current
Pioneer Square location, attendance has fallen rather dramatically.
Fewer and fewer people are coming each week for a lot of reasons, and
we would like to ask what those reasons are, and how we can change
things.

Everyone has a theory, but even if your not going to come to the
meeting, please feel free to send me an email off list or on list as
it your want. We want to know how we can make Saturday House better.

Also I am going to start a second email thread titled simply,
'Saturday House Future Wishlist ', and I want peoples thoughts on what
you want to see happening at Saturday House next year. More outside
events like this summers kite building, comfortable chairs the return
of the big table.

I want to come, but I have been nocturnal lately and when I wake up at 5 or 6PM, you all have wrapped up for the day :(

To be totally honest, I know I am more productive shut in my basement than out at Saturday House, and with my current workload it's very hard to justify a "day off" ... but soon I imagine I will develop social scurvy from lack of human interaction and will want to be at Saturday House once again.

I will do my best to attend.

I don't want to divert the second thread from the awesome kid-related
ideas, so I'm going to fire off some thoughts here.

It seems like we have less random drop ins than before even though the
pioneer square location is easier to hit by bus.

We also don't seem to stay as long as we used to.

I have thoughts about the room layout being more condusive to smaller
groups opposed to one larger group.

I haven't come as much lately partly because I've been busy but also
because the *character* of house has changed. We can discuss at the
meeting.
