Valid zip/postal code

I am trying the latest satchmo svn and keep getting a validation error
when it comes to zip code which didn't happen in previous revisions. I
am not residing in the US so I tested with zip codes I googled and it
still asks me for a valid zip code. What is the criteria for a valid
zip code or postal code?

This might be caused by some changes I submitted recently. Which page
are you seeing this on? In your store configuration, under the
Shipping Countries section, is "Only sell to in-country customers"
checked, and what is your default country?

I am seeing the checkout page.

Yes and my default country is the US.
