I'm interested in using Satchmo as a simple shopping cart in Google
App Engine.

I've currently have an App Engine application with Django 1.0
bootstrapped however this only gives me a subset of the 1.0 features
(not sure if this helps).

Does anyone know if I can create a Satchmo shop within this setup, if
so, how? I don't mind how much extra functionality I lose as long as I
can get some form of simple cart up and running. I understand that
there will more than likely be some level of porting to adhere to
Google's approach, I just need to know how much of it I need to touch
and where these components exist.

Any help would be appreciated and I have no problem testing things out
and hopefully creating a guide for others in the future.

I'm not aware of any efforts in this arena. I suspect it would be a pretty big job to do mainly from the standpoint that there are some 3rd party dependencies that you can't install in App Engine.  Wit that being said, I would certainly be interested if you can make a stripped down version work.  Feel free to use this list to bounce ideas off of.

The main problem is going to be the lack of foreign key support.  That said, it would be very interesting to get it working, a huge win.

Thanks guys.

I'll probably look at branching the 0.8 release and see how far I get.

Paul
