Hey all,

Just a quite note to garner your support for Darcy, who just got a lousy
review on Amazon.com -- boo! Thankfully I've heard from many of you who
found the book both helpful and hilarious, so thank you, thank you, thank
you for taking the time to tell me and for encouraging others to read it.
Smart girls unite!

Thanks to everyone for cheering me on over the past few days, including the
smart GUYS who joined the smart girls in support of Darcy! I've been trying
to wrap up a major writing project, and of course whenever I'm working on a
new book I think "Is this really worth it? Will anyone read it? Does what I
have to say really matter?" Most writers go through this, I suppose, except
for maybe J. K. Rowling.

So the #1 Rule is, Don't read your reviews on Amazon.com when you're trying
to meet a deadline!

And the #2 Rule is, Email your fans for encouragement and support whenever
you hit a wall!

So thanks again, everybody, and have a great weekend!
